Founded in 2010, Renogy has cemented itself as a go-to brand for DIY renewable energy enthusiasts across the globe. The company supplies reliable off-grid power solutions to a massive global user base, focusing heavily on accessible, DIY-friendly hardware rather than expensive professional installations.
Their UK site stocks everything from compact 12-volt setups for campervan conversions to heavy-duty 4kWh portable home backup systems. Pricing is highly competitive for the sector, and they sweeten the deal by offering free standard delivery to mainland UK addresses. Whether you need monocrystalline solar panels, lithium iron phosphate batteries, or smart inverters, the inventory covers virtually every component required to build a standalone power grid.
The real draw, though, is the robust backing behind the hardware. Most panels carry an industry-leading 25-year performance warranty, guaranteeing at least 80% output decades down the line. They also maintain a brilliant online knowledge base, providing step-by-step wiring diagrams that make complex electrical projects accessible to complete beginners.
Between these generous warranties, the free mainland shipping, and the specialist discount codes listed below, putting together your dream solar array doesn’t have to cost the earth.
When is the best time to buy a solar kit from Renogy?
While they run site-wide sales fairly regularly, we find the deepest discounts on heavy-duty items like 4kWh portable backup systems tend to land around Black Friday and the January sales. If you are planning a campervan conversion, buying your panels and lithium batteries in late autumn usually secures the best price before spring demand drives stock levels down.
How do I combine offers to get the most out of my basket?
The trick is to layer your savings strategically. Start by using a referral link to secure your initial 6% off, then apply a targeted discount code like RNGBT for 10% off battery orders. Finally, ensure your basket hits the £700 threshold to trigger free mainland UK delivery. Just remember that stacking multiple percentage-off codes on a single transaction usually isn’t permitted, so pick the single highest-value code for your specific cart.
Should I buy a Renogy portable backup system or build a custom DIY battery bank?
| Feature | Portable Backup System | Custom DIY Bank |
|---|---|---|
| Setup Time | Plug-and-play in minutes | Requires wiring and technical knowledge |
| Portability | High, built-in handles | Low, heavy and fixed |
| Cost per kWh | Higher upfront cost | Cheaper long-term capacity |
| Expandability | Limited to unit specs | Fully modular and scalable |
If you just need emergency backup for a few appliances or want power for a weekend camping trip, grab one of their portable systems using a code like PBK2. But if you are outfitting a narrowboat or off-grid cabin for year-round living, sourcing individual Renogy cells and inverters to build a custom bank will save you serious money over time.
